Cooling and heating

The core of the work. Most calls start here, and when a system has just begun making a noise, what that noise usually means narrows the list before anyone arrives.

Ductwork

The part nobody sees and the reason a good system underperforms. Air that leaks into a Florida attic is air you paid to cool.

• Air duct cleaning after water, renovation dust or anything living in the ducts, not on a schedule.
• Duct sealing mastic on the joints an attic has been cooking since the house was built.
• Filter replacement on a realistic interval, which matters more than the filter's rating.

Indoor air quality

Humidity, dust and what the salt air brings with it. In this climate these are comfort work, not luxuries.

• HEPA filters in a bypass unit with its own fan, because a blower cannot pull air through HEPA.
• UV lights and UV air filters aimed at the coil, which is wet most of the year here.

Questions we are asked here

Which service do I need if the air is warm?

Start with a repair visit. Warm air comes from a loaded filter, a frozen coil, a dead capacitor, a stuck contactor and a refrigerant leak alike, and the five cost very different amounts to put right. Guessing between them is what makes people pay for refrigerant twice.

Do you do the whole job or subcontract parts of it?

Our own technicians, on all of it. The permit and the inspection that a replacement needs in these counties are ours to arrange too.

Can one visit cover several of these?

Usually, and it is cheaper than booking twice. A maintenance visit is the natural place to add a duct inspection or a filter cabinet, because the system is already open.
